We have been SICK!!!

This is pictures from the last TEN days. Kiyah has had a stomach virus with severe diarrhea and vomiting, a cough/runny nose/cold and 2 ear infections. She has slept way more than normal and has spent a lot of time laying on us. She has been pitiful. She is FINALLY starting to get a little better. Fingers crossed!!
Her mom and dad had the stomach virus also. You can even see Karlis in the background laying on the couch in one of these pictures. It has not been fun.

Let Me Out

Our house is an obstacle course these days. We put up little gates all over the house using whatever we can so Kiyah cannot escape a certain area. Here is a picture of what I am talking about. We put this chair up so she can't roll down the stairs (again!) and Karlis was standing behind her so she wouldn't fall back and bump her head. He was on the phone talking and wasn't paying attention to her and she so bad wanted to crawl away from were she was. Here is what it looked like from my side of things. She kept sticking her little head through like she could squeeze through there. Cute!

What We Are Up To These Days

Kiyah's facts and figures:

A little over 8 months
Her weight (22 pounds a little over a month ago is off the charts for her age)
Her height (27 inches a little over a month ago is off the chart for her age)
She wears clothes 12-18 months and some of those are getting a little snug
She goes to bed at 8:00 and gets up at 7:00 (yay!)
She crawls all over the house, pulls up constantly and has recently found her stomach and scratches at it all the time which is FUNNY.
When she pulls up she let's go of whatever it is and just stands for up to 10 seconds at a time.
She is very ticklish and loves to be tickled.
She loves to be naked even more (uh-0h).
She thinks it is hilarious when her mom does a fake sneeze.
She loves to have a book read to her in English and Latvian (how confusing!).
She loves the dogs but loves the cats even more.
Her favorite food is corn casserole, carrots and all fruits. Anything green is a definite no.
Balloons, lights and ceiling fans are all her best friends.
TV is not that interesting.
I think she will be left handed.
Her biggest goal in life right now is making her way to the dog's food and water bowls.
Her scariest moment so far is falling down the hard wood basement stairs (come on, it was just a few!).
Baths are a little bit scary.
Riding in the car is fun.
Her boyfriend is a plastic red thing with huge eyes that sings.....otherwise known as Elmo. (their prom picture is below)

FIRST SNOW! :)

Kiyah loved it but her first experience of tasting the snow was priceless. I was crying while taking these. The first taste was not enough so she did it again. The pictures tell it all.....
